I’m Afrika Bucknor, a creative thinker and problem solver. My journey started in the fashion industry, honing precision and design skills as a pattern cutter. Today, I apply that same detail-oriented approach to cloud engineering and software development. Explore how my two worlds connect below.
I began my career in fashion, using CAD programs and creating precise patterns. My curiosity for tech was sparked when I built a magic mirror using a Raspberry Pi. From there, I delved into coding, learning languages like JavaScript, Ruby, and React. I now work as a cloud engineer, developing full-stack apps, like the community food bank web app, using the MERN stack. I am passionate about solving complex problems with innovative solutions.
